Stuff I Think : The Wisdom of Warren Buffett
This is a great post – I’m going to be thinking about this for a while. One of the comments to the article criticizes Mr. Buffet for being shallow, of not revealing deep philosophy. While the topics are basic, they are presented in such a way as to invite introspection and thought.
We here in the United States are so very, very lucky. Yes, some have worked very hard and paid great prices for their gains. Compared with the rest of the world though, we come from a place of overflowing wealth and prosperity. Simple things like sewage removal infrastructure and electrical supply distribution are items taken for granted yet are critical to improving the quality of life.
Even if you don’t agree, it provides a great starting point for discussion.
This is just cool… a bit silly, but cool.
I shaved my head one summer just for fun. It happened to coincide with the Jazz (local NBA team) losing the finals to Michael Jordan so everyone was speculating that I’d lost a bet. Nope, actually I was losing my hair and I was curious to see what I’d look like without it.
Kept it shaved for three or four months. Loved it. I left the beard on though which kind of threw some people for a loop. I shaved the beard off with the bald head for some family photographs and then no one knew who I was! It was fun.
Now I want to buy one of these just so I can shave it again…
